Firmament

This proudly independent family owned estate which was bought by the Léonor family in 1956 is located in the renowned Cru La Livinière area of Minervois. Wines are made from blends of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan from the best and oldest plots of the estate. Frank has taken over from his uncle, Andre, who still helps out in the vineyards. They have restored the entire estate and now have just over 75 acres of vineyards. Franck practices traditional wine making and the estate was certified organic in 2011.

The vineyards are all on a hillside of chalky soil and clay. Everything is hand harvested and de-stemmed. The Grapes are fermented in a mix of concrete, old oak, and stainless and all see some amount of oak aging, with a small portion be new French.
